Why you need to be careful with the workforce you hire.

rWhy you need to be careful with the workforce you hire.

If you want to start up a business, and are relying on hiring cheap workforce, think twice.

You may look out for school drop outs (especially those who couldnot even complete pre primary) because they may be inexperienced, and thus have no burgaining power!

But always think about the full package before you settle for that. You know that part of your CV where you flaunt your skills/proficiencies? Ok, look at it and turn each one of them to the negative. Also, don't forget to add exaggerations, because you do the same on your cv.

Lets take a look at some of these. (You need a shop attendant)
Skills/proficiencies
1. Undeniably incompetent
2. Poor time keeping skills
3. Slow problem solving skills
4. Good at convincing customers not to buy some products
5. Conflict stirring
6. Can mix business with pleasure.
7. Can chase away customers with my look ,like this  <<€$%#&£@&>>
8. Is insolent most times

So now you know! They have zero creativity. Infact let's say the creativity is in the negative. It's so annoying.

I went to a shop around my home to buy some earbuds so I would desist from using my Bic pen lid. After battling through the raging dust, the shop attendant told me they didn't have earbuds. Then she made a suggestion that, to her, was to supplement the earbuds. Can you guess what she suggested? You are going to love this. She said, 'oba maybe i give you toothpicks. It's the same price even.'

I was too frustrated that I left without another word. Did she want me to to pierce my eardrum or what? Anyhow, in the long run, I couldn't stop laughing at how ridiculous that was.

A more annoying incident was when I went to buy 'always' (I know you gerrit). I asked the attendant and she said, in luganda, 'olweyz tewali naye mpozi twala ku pamper. Ndaba byagala okufanana'
But isn't this really worse than mental fixedness? So for her, anything packaged in blue and white, served the same purpose.

Then there's another type of workforce whose commitment lasts only in the first month of employment. She will work herself so much that everyday of that month she will bring you some good money. When you offer to pay her for her efforts, she refuses. She is so 'caring'. She says, 'nedda, don't pay me now. Not until you recover the money you invested.'

At that moment, you start wondering how lucky you can get that your sales person cares too much about you.

Don't be fooled!

In the second month, she will start criticizing your product! She will say your prices are too high, customers are complaining and they can't buy.

There will be no money that month and yet every day she goes to work. Then she will use her own money (which came from selling your goods) and purchase cheaper poor quality ones to sell in your shop. Your own shop! She starts using your products with an excuse that she's advertising them to customers.

She lowers their prices so that customers can buy. She advises them to chose her product over yours.

By the time you realize this, only regret will be available to you. Like they say cheap things are expensive. There goes cheap labor!
