The Man of God

She walks amidst the congregation in a meticulous gait
She sways her hips from east to west
And faces in the direction of the Man of God.
She darts a glance at him
Her hand strolling through her hair
Her upper teeth biting her lower lip while giving away a smile

‘oooh this man of God
He gives me the only reason to attend the service’
When he preaches the word of God
To her, his voice tells of sweet nothings
That his voice, hurls her miles apart in a land, a paradise

‘Father oh Father in heaven
Thy forgive your child’
Who enters your house for all other reasons
But worship you
And leaves only with empty thoughts
Forgive your child oh Father
Maybe someday she shall enter
Your presence for genuine reasons

‘Everyone is a sinner’, the man of God says
‘But we shall accept sinners and help them change;
Make them feel LOVED
And give them a sense of belonging in the house of God.

‘He preaches about love
And my heart melts for him’
‘Love’ he says and she could feel his presence closer by
And suffocating her
‘Love’, and she could his fingers on her lips
‘Love’ and his lips were all over hers
By the end of his sermon, they have made love!

‘Oh I love the man of God
I hate every woman that glues herself on the man
Murders I commit in my mind
His wife I murdered already
And so will I any woman that gets in my way
The man of God is mine.
All mine!’
